Book Review: The Elite

The Elite (book two of the Selection Series)
By Keira Cass
323 pages
I had about 2 weeks in between books one and two and I think it made it even better. I really enjoyed the second book. FYI I have also read the third book, there was about a 2 second break between the second and third books. I really love these books they just have a little place in my heart for them, I just love the whole idea and I have always dreamed of being a princess and so I love princess stories, so thats a big part of it. I don't really know how to say more without spoiling so I'll keep my lips sealed.

Book Review: Stolen

Stolen
By Lucy Christopher
299 pages
I really liked this book but there were also some things I didn't like. I loved the beginning it was intense and interesting. I also didn't like the end but it really wrapped the whole story together. The middle at parts I felt like got a little boring but then something interesting could happen so it wasn't enough to make me want to put the book down in any way. I really like Ty and I know it would be weird and some people may not like it but I really want Gemma to love him sooner and there would be a bit of love in it I saw it at the end but I was with so many other things I got distracted. All in all I really liked this book and I would definitely recommend it to someone.

Book Review: The Selection

The Selection
By Kiera Cass
pages: 327
I loved this book, I love the whole world that they live in, at times I must admit I didn't really agree or well understand why America did what she did but for the most part I was with her. I can not wait till I get my hands on the second and the third! I need them, instead I will distract myself from reading it over and over again with other books. As soon as I finished I instantly read the first two chapters of the second book then wanted to start it all over again I have not felt that way in a while so I take that as a sign that this book is AMAZING!! just for a start, its mostly just a guilt pleasure of mine. I wouldn't say the writing is amazing just the feeling it gives me so yes the writing is amazing!

The Chaos by Rachel Ward

The Chaos
By Rachel Ward
339 pages
Rating: One Star
*****This review contains spoilers*****

I really didn't like this book as much, I really didn't connect with the characters as well. The third book is with the same characters and I think I will pass on that. The whole book was leading up to the end, and honestly it wasn't as big of an ending either. I also thought that the author didn't really need to have Adam go to the prison and when he escaped it was really far-stretched that the earthquake would happen at that time as he attacked the body guard. I read this book in a day and it was fast paced and there were parts of it that I enjoyed but not enough of them :(

Book Review: Code Name Verity

Code Name Verity
By Elizabeth Wein
332 pages
Rate: 5 stars!
ahh! I loved this book so much! I just finished it minutes ago. The beginning is kinda slow but its also really interesting I read the whole second half !today so it went by really fast. I really like how it was kind of in two points of view. I really love the plot and the characters and the whole damn thing! Ahh I recommend this to anyone and everyone because it really isn't focused on the history more about the friendships and courage that they had to go through. I have made some new favorite book character ever! this is a definite must read. And reread!!!

Book Review: Num8ers

Num8ers
by Rachel Ward
325 pages
I thought this book was okaaaaay. I really want to read made for you and I think they are pretty similar but I didn't really love this book and hopefully I will love Made for you. I really didn't connect with the characters that much. I thought it was weird and I couldn't get over in the beginning she called a character ugly and hard to look at and then later called them beautiful it messed with my imagery and I didn't like it.  Overall I really didn't enjoy it, I only read it because I was at school and our class was in the library and I could find no other book.

TBR

In October I had a big stack of books that I wanted to read, about 10 of them I had started at some point, but never finished. Well I am so happy to say that I have finished all of those books! Now on to what I will be reading in November, I am not quite sure all the books, my big stack is now 5 books so I will be visiting the book store/ library this month which I stayed away from these past weeks.
TBR:
1. Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein
2. Diary of a Teenage Girl by Melody Carlson
3. The Book Theif By Markus Zusak
4. The Postmistress by Sarah Blake
5. The Selection Series. (I bought the first one and I am really excited!)
I am a little bit worried because a lot of those ar historical fiction so I will more than likely be reading lighter books in between.

Book Review: The Lucy Variations

The Lucy Variations
By Sara Zarr
304 pages
Rate: 4 stars
I really liked this book. It was about a 16 year old girl who was an amazing piano player as a child and then one day during a competition she walked off the stage. I play piano and I really liked reading a book about piano, every time I read it I would go play a song or two after. I thought that I could be a lot stronger if it was in the first person. Or if it shared other peoples thoughts in the third person as well as Lucy's. I was a very short read for me which I very much liked.
